A Data Governance CoE has been created within a Scaled Agile way of working at a bank. The bank is looking for a Data Modeler to support the Enterprise Data Model (EDM) squad in creating EDM and designing APIs and Kafka messages.
Role Description: The Data Modeler will work closely with local stakeholders to design and document data models in line with central EDM guidelines and tooling setup. They will support tribe architects and squads in making their data models and APIs in line with EDM and GDPR expectations, as well as monitor the progress and quality of data modeling practice and usage. The role also involves promoting the culture of data modeling and data governance throughout the organization, onboarding new data modelers, and developing and maintaining data model guidelines.
You fit this role if you have
- Required Skills:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in IT or Business engineering
- Good understanding and experience with top-down and bottom-up data modeling, API design, data architecture, software development, and database design
- Solid understanding of the functionalities of SAP PowerDesigner
- Knowledgeable about metadata management, data quality, data lineage and traceability, GDPR, BCBS239, data dictionaries, and ISO20022
- Good communication and influencing skills
- Team player
- Able to turn complicated technical topics and industry language into easy-to-understand information
